Atlantic Medical Imaging has become a world leader in Coronary CTA. Dr. David A. Dowe, Medical Director of Atlantic Medical Imaging’s Galloway facility and Director of the Coronary CTA program, began pioneering Coronary CTA in 2001, initially using an 8-channel multi-detector CT scanner. With the advent of the 16-channel scanner we found that most patients could be scanned; with the 64-channel VCT virtually all patients are successfully imaged. Dr. Dowe began teaching the Coronary CTA for Radiologists Masters Series course in 2003; his dynamic style and straightforward approach have led to rave reviews from participants. He now gives Coronary CTA lectures outside of the Masters Series, has been honored with presenting at the RSNA, and teaches Visiting Fellows nearly every day. Dr. Dowe has personally interpreted over 8,000 cases, giving him the most case experience of any radiologist in the world. Being a private practice radiologist has forced him to find a way to make this emerging technology cost-effective and profitable in our fiscally conservative insurance environment. In his educational DVD he provides all of the information needed to initiate and maintain a Coronary CTA program.
